Project idea

The project aims to create a system of individual support for future graduates of orphanages and boarding schools, young adults living in psycho-neurological boarding institutions, independently living graduates of orphanage boarding schools who have children.

Developing a tailored plan for each adolescent and young adult, designed to facilitate successful socialization, education, and career development, to achieve the highest level of independence, enhance their quality of life, ensure effective integration into society, and foster the development of social skills and autonomy.

Working under an individualized plan includes personalized psychological counseling, tutoring sessions, the development of social and daily living skills, consultations and sessions with professionals (such as an educational psychologist, neuropsychologist, speech-language pathologist, educator, attorney, etc.), career guidance, and the reestablishment of familial relationships.

Relevance

A large number of children and young people still live in boarding institutions in Russia: in Moscow, more than 10,000 people over 18 years old live in psycho-neurological boarding institutions (PNI). Emotional deprivation, lack of love, recognition, and care, lack of personal space, and a poor emotional environment have a detrimental effect on the potential life scenarios of future graduates.

They face low levels of education, motivation, and household skills, which complicates their integration into society. In addition to these chronic issues, the pandemic exacerbated problems such as heightened anxiety, deviant behaviors, and suicidal inclinations.

To ensure successful socialization and enhance the quality of life for orphans, orphanage graduates, and residents of PNIs, including young adults, it is essential to provide specialist assistance and establish a robust support system. However, this system is insufficiently developed, and there is a lack of qualified specialists who understand the specifics of the target audience and have the skills to work with them.

Social effect

Building a system of individual support for future graduates of boarding institutions and graduates living independently, including mothers with a background of orphanhood who already have their own children.
