Project idea
Establishing professional workshops at orphanages to train residents in modern, competitive specialties. The workshops will operate with the support of the foundation's curator and experienced teachers, who will help teenagers complete the course and receive a diploma or certificate of completion. This will give graduates of orphanages a better chance to find interesting, decent work and become in demand in the labor market. The project will help young people independently choose their professional path and gain confidence in their future.
Relevance
Currently, 82% of children in orphanages in the country are teenagers and children with special health needs, who have almost no chance of being adopted. They experience deprivation due to living in a closed system, the absence of parental upbringing, and the lack of involvement from key caregivers in their lives.
These children have a consumer mindset, do not know how to set goals and achieve them, do not understand what professional path to choose.
Children from orphanages generally lack stable social and life skills necessary for independent living. They often enroll en masse in non-competitive specialties in the region, are unable to build relationships with each other, their loved ones, or society.
As a result, such children find themselves at risk of falling into the category of socially disadvantaged citizens after leaving the orphanage (experiencing unemployment, lack of housing, single-parent families, and addictions).
For pupils of boarding institutions, it is very important to develop professional competencies that ensure their competitiveness in the labor market.
The "Give me a profession" project will help the children independently choose their professional path, master in-demand specialties, and gain confidence in their future.
Social effect
Improving the well-being of graduates from orphanages through the creation of professional workshops in children's homes in the Saratov, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod regions, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Project Results
The children from orphanages who participated in the project graduated from the institutions already having a specialty and a diploma or a certificate of course completion. The acquired professions include stylist, brow master, waiter, manicurist, hairdresser, car mechanic, and merchandiser. This gave them a better chance of finding temporary or permanent employment, becoming competitive at the labor market, and earning an income higher than they would without a specialty. The knowledge and skills acquired, as well as the diploma or certificate of course completion, can be used by the students in the future.
Project progress after CSS funding
