The results of the "Stronger with CSS 2021" winning project "Happy at Home"

We are pleased to share the results of the "Stronger with CSS 2021" winning project "Happy at Home", implemented by the Interregional Public Charity Organization supporting children "He Needs You". Due to grant support Adaptation and Habilitation Center for Foster Parenting ONLINE was organized.

Project "Happy is home" is a systemic online support with a set of activities for:

• foster parent candidates, to evaluate candidates' ability at the time of making a decision about foster parenting and choosing a child with disabilities;
• foster families during the adaptation period, to reduce returns, to help building an individual approach for a child with disabilities in the first year of staying with the family.

In addition, thanks to the media campaign of this project, 10 unique motivational short documentary videos, success stories of foster families raising children with disabilities, were published.

It is also worth noting CSS's contribution to the creation of the feature film "White Unicorn", which was previously visited by project manager Victoria Petrukhina. The movie is based on the true story of the Komarovs, a foster family, mother Olga and her son Sasha Sobyanin, a disabled wheelchair boy. They are also the main characters of the film. The movie's slogan is "Believe in me" - believe in yourself, your children, your family and the absolute value of the mother-child relationship.
