First graduate of the project and his success

Fedor, a 19 years old with hearing impaired. Thanks to the help of the teachers, he successfully finished the 11th grade and passed the university entrance exams!

For over two years Big Change Orphans Foundation, with the support of CSS Charity Foundation, has been operating an educational project in the Novosibirsk region, where children and parents receive the necessary professional support.

The Family Fairy Tale Village is home to roughly 60 multi-child families and 300 children, including foster children and children with disabilities. Many of the children have educational challenges. But not all families have access to extra classes due to the distance from the city and the lack of resources. Specialists from the Big Change Foundation help to create all the necessary conditions for education in the village, conduct classes and development activities with the children, and provide professional support to the parents.

With the help of Big Change teachers, students overcome challenges in their studies, achieve new successes, and set educational goals for the future, such as graduating from school and continuing their studies in college or higher education. While most students at Family Fairy Tale are in elementary and middle school, there are also some in high school. And this summer, Family Fairy Tale had its first graduate and its first student!

Fedor, a 19 years old with hearing impaired. Thanks to the help of the teachers, he successfully finished the 11th grade and passed the university entrance exams! Fedor was thinking about where to study. There were two cities in his plans: Moscow and Novosibirsk. He chose between "Informatics, Artificial Intelligence and Control Systems" at Bauman University or "Mechatronics and Robotics" at Novosibirsk State University. In the end he opted to stay in his hometown region. We congratulate Fedor from the bottom of our hearts!

Big Change's participation in the CSS School of Opportunities competition provides regular support to at least 100 children and 40 parents, leading to more success stories like this one!
