Announcing the winners of the "Stronger with CSS. Becoming self-sufficient"
On September 1st, Russia enacted changes to the "Social Protection of Disabled Persons" Law. These changes established assisted living and social employment at the state level. The law also added several measures to help individuals with specific health needs prepare for independent living.
This significant, decade-long effort by social activists is an important accomplishment. It is our hope that, through productive discussions with NGOs, there will be further improvements in the state system.
Meanwhile, we will continue to support those who work to make this happen.
