Yaseneva Polyana supports specialists in assisted living
The Yaseneva Polyana Foundation runs a project called "Qualified teachers - Self-reliant students" in Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Novosibirsk, and the Chuvash Republic. The project helps train visually impaired people to live independently.
Over six months, the team held 20+ seminars on topics like working with deaf-blind people, cooking, shopping, budgeting, and self-care. The most motivated specialists (tutors, organizers) who work in the training apartments or are going to work in the opening projects attended the courses.
Equipping training apartments is an urgent request for specialists working with people with different physical and mental characteristics, so Yaseneva Polyana invited colleagues from related fields to part of the lectures.
The goal of this project is to share experience to make the trade union community stronger. This is a necessary step to bring our society closer to inclusion and a dignified life for every person. We are happy to support such initiatives.
The "Qualified teachers - Self-reliant students" project won the "Stronger with CSS. Becoming self-sufficient" Competition.
