Movie expedition over!
The CSS team spent a week in Siberia collecting material for a new documentary.
The movie is about our partner foundation, "Big Change".
For the last four years, "Big Change" has been helping parents in a small village to give their children a good education, to help them to socialize and to discover themselves.
The main shooting location is "Family Fairytale", 30 km from the center of Novosibirsk. Most of the houses here have large families, including adopted children and children with disabilities.
We talked to the parents about how the settlement was created. We talked to the kids about their lives and studies. The teachers talked about a new way of helping students.
The movie started to be edited and we came back to Moscow. We thought about how important it is for a grantmaking organization to trust partners and support them from the very beginning.
In 2019, the CSS Foundation became the main donor of the "Big Change" project at "Family Fairytale". It all started with an idea and ended with a strong educational direction in a unique place, uniting the parent community around different children.
