About the foundation
The CSS Charity Foundation was established in 2019 to support Russian charity non-profit non-governmental organizations that professionally help children, adole-scents, and young adults in difficult life situations, as well as their families.
The founder of the CSS Foundation, David Russell, is a businessman, philanthropist, and citizen of the world who cares about the problems of the younger generation. He is convinced that the development and prosperity of vulnerable members of our society directly depend on the help and involvement of those who have the opportunity to help. The Russell family's motto is Che sarà sarà, which translates from Italian as "Do what you have to, and come what may!". The meaning of the proverb is that the future is not in our power, but everyone can contribute to tomorrow and make it better than the previous one.
The abbreviation of the proverb became the name of the Foundation, and its meaning became our credo in our daily work.
Our mission
CSS’s mission is to build an effective partner network capable of helping vulnerable children and adolescents in any corner of Russia to discover their innate abilities and fulfill their potential.
Our goal
CSS’s objective is to strengthen NGOs that share and practice the principles of positive child and adolescent development to create active, engaged and competent youth.

Childhood and adolescence form the foundation for the rest of a person’s life. The more assets (knowledge, skills, resources and support) a child or teenager receives during this period, the
safer and more positive his or her growing-up environment will be, and the higher the chances of becoming a successful, active, healthy and thriving adult.
