CSS President Olga Suslova and Project Manager Nikiforos Parfeniotis returned from Magnitogorsk, where they attended the "Sports New Year" for children with mental disabilities and their families.
The organizer is our partner and the winner of the “Stronger with CSS” grant program, “Metalurg” charity foundation, we are working on a joint project “Sport on an equal footing with everyone”.
Within the framework of the project, a complex of rehabilitation measures is being carried out aimed at social, social, cultural and socio-environmental rehabilitation and adaptation of disabled children, through the organization of short-term supervision and care for disabled children during the period of employment of their parents.
In addition to the sports festival, our team was lucky to attend adaptive physical education classes at the Maternity Center of the Metallurg Charitable Foundation, Jump Development classes at the Jump trampoline park, and also see the premises of the future Center for helping children with mental disabilities.
At the end of the trip, a meeting was held with non-profit organizations in Magnitogorsk, where they managed to discuss current topics and problems of the sector.
