On January 12, Olga Suslova and Anastasia Chukaeva were in Kostroma and attended master classes of the Adaptive Hockey Federation in a completely new for Russia discipline - roller sledge hockey. Pupils of the boarding school for children with severe speech impairments and children with locomotor disorders participated in the project.
The first day gave the kids a lot of insights! Children got to know what roller sledge hockey is, learned how to wear the gear and hold hockey sticks properly. On top of that - they sled for the first time. It's impossible to express the delight in their eyes when they turned into real athletes! The second day was a real workout with a warm-up and exercises on technique.
Children were so inspired that they split into two teams and played their first match! We have already told you about teams from other regions. Now it's also available in the Kostroma region.
