We are pleased to share with you the results of a recently completed project of Alfa-Endo program: complex help for families in difficult life situation raising children with diabetes mellitus, implemented by the The “CAF” Charitable Foundation for Philanthropy Development with CSS support.
Project activities were held in the Vologda, Moscow, Kostroma, and Kaluga regions. All specialists of health care and social protection, as well as members of NPOs received knowledge about the peculiarities of families in difficult life situation raising children with diabetes mellitus. In most regions, this allowed to build long-term relationships between professionals to help families.
It is worth noting that as part of the project a large number of entertainment programs, performances, trips to summer camps, master classes in counting bread units and other activities were organized for children with diabetes mellitus. Due to such projects Alpha Endo program won first place in the nomination "Best Program Contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for Health, Healthy Lifestyles and Human Wellbeing for Sustainable Development in the Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy competition of the Donors Forum. In addition, the UN Moscow office recognized CSS's contribution to this area of the Alfa Endo program.
